About six months after our son was born, the father decided to leave me and our baby to follow his love to another country. He cut off all contact, and for months, I had no idea where he was.
He stopped paying for the car, insurance, and rent, and within weeks, I found myself with a small baby, no home, and no car. My family cut ties with me after I converted to Judaism for my first marriage to an Israeli man.

I’ve been trying to survive month by month, working night shifts from home just to afford a tiny studio apartment for me and my baby. At the same time, I’ve been going through a painful divorce, fighting with a husband who left us but is doing everything he can to leave me with nothing.

Aid for Babies came to my rescue when I had nowhere else to turn. They provided me with essentials like diapers, formula, and support that I so desperately needed. Thanks to their help, I’ve been able to care for my child without the constant fear of not having enough. Their support has made all the difference in our lives.

A few weeks after my wedding was called off, I found out I was pregnant. Throughout my entire pregnancy, the father made it clear he wanted nothing to do with the baby. He said he wouldn’t support the child financially or be involved as a parent.

After the baby was born, he suddenly reached out, begging to be part of our child’s life. I agreed, but I quickly realized he only wanted to be a father when it was convenient for him. Once, when I asked him to buy diapers and formula, he called me from the store, furious that it cost $90, and left without buying anything.

For almost a year and a half, he’s been a father only on his own terms. I couldn’t work because I had to care for our baby, and I couldn’t even afford daycare. He refused to help pay for anything.

That’s when Aid for Babies stepped in. They gave me formula, diapers, and other essentials when I had no one else to turn to. Their help has been a true blessing, allowing me to focus on my baby without constantly worrying about how we would get by. I’m so grateful for everything they’ve done to support us during this difficult time.
